We design spaces where people truly want to BE
Your workplace should nurture, not drain. Your public spaces should welcome, not intimidate. At StudioBE, we prove that environments designed for human wellbeing don't just feel better—they perform better.
Ready to transform how your people experience space?
We're not here to follow trends. We're here to challenge the assumption that productive spaces must sacrifice humanity. Through rigorous research and collaborative design, we create interiors that respond to the full spectrum of human needs—emotional, physical, social, and cultural.
For organisations ready to invest in their people's wellbeing, we offer something rare: evidence-based design that genuinely improves how people feel, connect, and thrive.
Our areas of expertise
-
We prove what hearts already know: when workplaces nurture human connection, everything transforms. Through research-driven design, we create environments where people genuinely want to BE—spaces that reduce stress, spark collaboration, and honour the full spectrum of human needs whilst delivering measurable business outcomes.
-
Healing begins with feeling safe. Our trauma-informed design transforms courts, victim support centres, and crisis accommodation into environments that prioritise psychological safety through evidence-based principles: clear sight lines, natural materials, predictable layouts, and dignified accessibility. We create sanctuaries that support recovery rather than retraumatisation.
-
Healthcare environments should heal, not harm. We integrate wellness research with clinical requirements to create therapeutic spaces that reduce patient stress, support family connections, and enhance staff wellbeing. Our evidence-based approach proves that prioritising human comfort accelerates healing whilst improving operational outcomes for healthcare providers.
-
Every learner deserves environments where they can BE themselves and thrive. Our inclusion-informed design responds to neurodiversity, sensory needs, and learning differences through evidence-based principles. We create dignified, accessible spaces that celebrate rather than hide difference—enabling all students to navigate independently and succeed joyfully.
Designing for Diversity & Inclusion
With our strategic partners, we have created The Working Brain - a dedicated research team made up of designers, academics, and practising researchers - to investigate how the built environment affects mental health and neurodiversity. Through data collection, peer-reviewed analysis, and strategic workshops, we generate insights that directly inform our design responses. This research is shared across our studio to shape more inclusive, evidence-based environments that raise awareness and drive meaningful change.
